The Rhemes Valley is a small jewel for ski touring, offering the possibility to choose a different destination every day, all starting from the same hut.
The variety of routes allows you to choose between easy trips for beginners or more demanding ones, with elevation gains never exceeding 1,000 meters. Most of the routes face north, which often results in powder snow lasting well into the season.
It’s important to note that there are two huts that can be used as starting points: the Benevolo Refuge, recently renovated and well managed by Mountain Guide Mathieu and his family, or the fantastic Dortoir du Fond, which can accommodate up to 20 people, with hot showers and wood-decorated rooms. Here, the definition of “plaisir” ski mountaineering finds its full meaning.
